Deciphering Emotion and Intuition
Oftentimes when moving through a big shift, our emotions and intuition can sound really similar.
This can cloud our judgment, making it difficult for us to identify our next best steps.
However, working to decipher emotion and intuition can be signal of a very dynamic time, ultimately leading us into a place of discovery.
Essentially, we are actively releasing old emotions while making space to hear our new and improved messaging from our intuition.
To navigate this process, here are the routes I have found most helpful.
First I track the emotion(s) to its origin. That will usually give some insight if the origin is fear-based, or a trigger from an old experience, or if the emotion is speaking in a way to help me understand and clear it.
Next, I would shift attention to my intuition. Since intuitive steps are not always discernable, I would bring up the intuition and allow myself to fill up with it as a feeling. Then I would take time to notice how I respond when I am pondering it. Do I feel more agitated or fearful, or do I feel relieved or like it creates space for some new next steps?
If these steps are not unleashing insight, I will go to my tarot or oracle cards to help prompt me into new perspectives of what is going on for me unconsciously.
I will also utilize whatever crystal is calling out to me. Often their energy prompts fresh movement into my space.
Often we need to do the emotional work before we can take, or even identify, the intuitive message that is the best match to our next step.
Therefore, it's best to not make any rash decisions.
We need to trust that the confusion we are feeling will lead us into a new outlook on life, so we need to be kind to ourselves in this process.
