What Halloween is Like for a Psychic
As a psychic, I have to tell you.
Halloween is a headache.
It’s an amplification of what I deal with daily. Deceased spirits contact me regularly and they are pushy, nasty, and self righteous. It can be crazy frustrating. They can actually wake me up in the middle of the night or touch me on the shoulder when I am trying to enjoy a latte at my local coffee shop. UGH!
Pro Psychic Tip
People connect with Halloween in a way that mirrors the fall transition to winter. Zombie movies, gory characters, scary movies all elicit the strangeness of the unknown -- death -- making such a celebration almost comical. Costumes from every moment along history’s path and every imaginable element of a living being or character allow people to try on a totally different persona.
Super Irritating: Celebrating the gory costumed characters actually gives energy to such spirits in their metaphysical form.
Pro Psychic Tip: Dress up with a character or being whose you admire and whose energy you would like to empower.
Most people spend their year in fear of spirits and the afterlife, and nervous around Psychic Mediums like me.
Super Irritating: All of a sudden Halloween comes along and decorations and haunted houses are all play on people's fear of spirits and the afterlife... and suddenly fun?
Pro Psychic Tip: Celebrate this season in a respectful way by paying tribute to ancestors and life in other dimensions through a ritual or ceremony that matches with your beliefs.
Conjuring the dead and playing with some freaky energy sounds fun so you bust out a Ouija board or some other oracle in the hopes of communication.
Super Irritating: You have no idea what you are up to and actually conjure a low vibration spirit that freaks you out. Yeah, this can and does happen! I have to deal with the mess you created because they show up around ME.
Pro Psychic Tip: Be conscious of what your energy is creating! Use oracle tools with respect. You actually might get some information that is meaningful to you.
Create Intention Around the Seasonal Spirit
Halloween also marks the beginning of a special time. The transition of fall into winter can be challenging. Change is evident everywhere, but unlike spring, where change brings new life, transitioning to winter means death. Leaves are falling and brisk evenings are covering up the warm summer nights we felt just a couple of months ago. We start to retreat inside, physically and spiritually.
November and December usher in the holiday season and our relationships with family, tradition, and religion are highlighted. We become highly introspective in our struggles and successes as we transition towards our deeper relationship with the metaphysical. Here is the secret about fall, though: Fall loves when we get deep! Fall wants you to get in there and think about what you have created. Fall wants you to look at how you have grown in the past year while remembering the skeletons in your closet.
Winter comes and it is so uncomfortable. The weather makes us cold, lack of growth makes us hungry for fresh fruit and vegetables, and lack of sun makes us tired. We are affected by the death of natural life. Here is the secret about winter though: Winter wants us to be uncomfortable. Winter wants us to take the awareness of change we came into during the fall and have a good long sit with all it conjures. Learn from the lessons of the past year and finally let go and heal what is asking for attention. Work it - don’t be afraid of it - everyone is going through this metaphysical transformation. These depths are our communication with our spirit through the transition of the body with the seasons and time.
